[ She snaps her head away from the guide sitting in her lap and jumped a little. She was so focused on what she was reading that she hadn't noticed. ]

O-Oh! Yes, thank you, Zuko.

[deconflagration]

Are you okay?

[hairraisingly]

Me? Okay? Yes, I'm peachy!

[ She grabs for her cup on the table and it seems to be a bit shaky in her hands. ]

[deconflagration]

[ He scoots closer to her, wrapping one arm around her shoulder and giving it a squeeze. His other hand rests on one of her knees. ]

No you're not.

[hairraisingly]

[ She frowns and slowly leans against him. ]

You're right... I'm not. Not really anyway.

[deconflagration]

I'm... sorry this happened. I'm the one who made you move out without warning, but...

[hairraisingly]

I know I should have been telling more people but... I just couldn't think you know? And.. And yes I know Im to blame but it's like... it's like they don't even want to hear my side of the story you know?

[deconflagration]

You're not to blame. And with all the unpacking we did and photographing your walls so you could sort of keep your memories... on top of all the stress you've been under....

[ He sighs, leaning his head against hers and kissing her temple. ]

You couldn't tell everyone. Communication is a two way street. And maybe they're just under stress, too.

[hairraisingly]

I thought holiday seasons were suppose to be holly jolly and cheerful not.... mean grumpy and raaaawr.

[deconflagration]

Maybe I've rubbed off on everyone.

[ He's trying to be funny and it probably isn't working. ]

[hairraisingly]

[ She cracks a small smile at that. ]

Or maybe my true evil self has come out.

[deconflagration]

[ Squeezing her shoulder. ]

C'mon. Drink some tea. You might feel better.

[hairraisingly]

... Okay Zuko.

[ She smiles and her hands seem to be a little more steady but not quite. ]

Thank you, Zuko...

[ She puts the cup to her lips and takes a small sip. ]

I'm not sure if it'll get your mind off it, but... do you wanna decorate the apartment? You know... for Christmas?

[hairraisingly]

You have christmas decorations around here?

[deconflagration]

I haven't bought any yet. I thought we might put some up together. And maybe Iroh will help, too.

[hairraisingly]

[ She smiles at that and nods her head. She takes another sip of her tea and scoots back a bit. ]

Yes! That... that sounds like the perfect idea, Zuko! And and then maybe me and Iroh can bond a little.

[deconflagration]

Maybe you won't be so nervous around him and I won't be so awkward around him.

[hairraisingly]

I don't try to be so nervous around him it's just... he sounds a lot like you, have you ever noticed that?

[deconflagration]

...Yeah. I've noticed.

[ He's glad she said "a lot like" him instead of "identical" to him. They don't sound exactly the same, at least not in his mind. ]

It'll be fun and maybe it'll brighten the mood here.

[hairraisingly]

Can we... make cookies and stuff together too?

[deconflagration]

Can we use a lot of cinnamon?

[hairraisingly]

Snicker doodles!
